So everyone should check out a newcomer to dA - the lovely ArtsyDreamer12! She does sketches, drawings, paintings, and photography, and she is very talented at all four. Not only that, she is also an excellent photography model and has been featured in my photo shoots several times. To top it all off, she's got a great personality and she just so happens to be... my sister!

EPICA

Okay, it's time to fangirl.
Ladies, gentlemen, and furries, for those of you who haven't already experienced the awesomeness, check out a band called Epica. They are Norwegian and are comprised of some of the most talented musicians I have EVER HEARD. They are symphonic metal but they incorporate all types of metal into their music: black metal, gothic metal, opera metal, etc. Epica is a female-fronted band while the rest of the band members are male. The front woman is Simone Simons, a stunning beauty and a gorgeous singer. Her husband, Mark, is the main composer for the band as well as a guitar and keyboard player, and he does all the screams and death growls. All the other band members are extraordinary musicians as well. I recently had an opportunity to see them in concert, but alas, I did not make it in time. Three of my very good friends got to go, so they showed me all the photos and video they took. Just because I love Epica so much, I decided I would write a journal entry dedicated to them and try to spread some of their amazing music around DeviantArt. These are some of my favourite songs.

Would anybody be interested in seeing more artwork revolving around my fantasy novel? I'm planning to draw a detailed map of the realm and make character sketches for each important character, so I figured I could post them on here if anybody is interested. I already have drawings of Aletheia, Cieran, and Micielda in my gallery, but I'm going to try and re-do them and make them better. Just let me know!

I'm back!
Sorry my hiatus from dA took sooo long, but I hath returned and I have some very exciting things to share with y'all!
In the time I've been away I have:
- Attended Royal Holloway College, University of London
- Graduated with a BA in English & Creative Writing, 2nd class honours (lower division)
- Completed a first draft of my first full-length novel
- Had a play produced for the Unscene Festival, a new-writer's event showcasing talent from Royal Holloway
- Had 3 different jobs (fast food, creative workshops, children's youth camp)
- Tried my hand at more photography than ever (and have had more models than ever!)
- Moved back to Texas
- Fallen madly in love
- Gotten very recently baptized
Whew! I guess I've been away for longer than I thought. I hope at least some of you will read this and decide that you may want to still check out my deviations from time to time. I know I'd love to see what all y'all have been up to!
These are some of the new things I plan to bring to the table:
- More live model photography
- Extensive and various nature photography
- Still-life photography, specifically of things that have been crocheted for me by a good friend
- WRITINS.
